Five-star safety Tony Conner picks Ole Miss over Alabama
Ole Miss adds third five-star recruit to its class of 2013.

His Rebels added their third five-star signee of Signing Day when safety Tony Conner picked Ole Miss over their SEC West rivals at Alabama. A native of Batesville, Miss., and star for Mississippi powerhouse South Panola, Conner also sported offers from Mississippi State, Auburn, Florida State and other programs across the country.
Conner was ranked by 247Sports as the No. 2 safety prospect in the class of 2013 and the No. 25 player overall. He becomes the Rebels' third addition from the national top 25 on signing day alone, joining consensus No. 1 overall recruit Robert Nkemdiche and No. 1 offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil.
At 6-foot-2, 203 pounds, Conner is a physical safety prospect who could very likely will see early playing time in a Rebels secondary that ranked 82nd in the nation in pass defense.
