Florida Atlantic to hire Charlie Partridge
According to a report Florida Atlantic has found its new coach in Arkansas' Charlie Partridge.
CBSSports.com's Jeremy Fowler was able to confirm a report from the Sun Sentinel that Florida Atlantic will hire Charlie Partridge as its next head coach. According to Fowler the contract is currently being finalized and FAU hopes to have it finished on Sunday.
Partridge is currently serving as the associate head coach to Bret Bielema at Arkansas.
Partridge came to Arkansas with Bielema after five years at Wisconsin and has built a reputation throughout his career as being a strong recruiter in South Florida. Something that was no doubt very attractive to the folks at FAU.
The Sun Sentinel reports that Partridge interviewed for the position on Friday and beat out Ohio State running backs coach Stan Drayton for the job.
