Florida CB Vernon Hargreaves III (bone bruise) day-to-day after scuffle
Florida cornerback Vernon Hargreaves suffered a bone bruise during a scuffle with teammates at the Gators open practice on Thursday.
Florida fans got a scare at an open practice on Thursday night, as a team scuffle resulted in star cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III getting carted off the field.
According to the Associated Press, wide receivers and cornerbacks began to tussle during "Oklahoma" drills. The preseason All-SEC defensive back began to limp after the group was broken up and trainers applied ice and carted him away.
After the practice, Gators coach Will Muschamp said Hargreaves suffered a bone bruise and "is listed as day to day."

For Florida fans, the sight of Hargreaves on a cart must have triggered flashbacks to 2013, when 10 starters suffered season-ending injuries and the Gators lost their final seven games to finish 4-8.
