Former FSU OT Menelik Watson receives ACC championship ring
Menelik Watson's first commemorative championship ring had a mistake. The ring read SEC Champions instead of ACC Champions.
Oakland Raiders offensive tackle Menelik Watson found a surprise when he received his 2012 ACC Championship ring. The side of the commemorative ring included the final score between Florida State and Georgia Tech, a design of the ACC Championship Trophy and an inscription reading "2012 SEC Champions."
The rest of the ring was correct, but Watson used the mistake as an opportunity to have some fun on Twitter.
"Just got my Championship rings," Watson wrote on Twitter, with a photo of the incorrect ring attached. "Apparently I'm the only player in #Fsu history to win an SEC Championship! #Legendary"
On Tuesday, Watson continued the joke with a photo of his ACC Championship ring.
