The Clemson Tigers visited the White House on Monday to celebrate their 2017 college football national title and a tweet was the most interesting thing to emerge from the encounter. No, this particular tweet did not come from our Commander-In-Chief, but rather from a Secret Service agent taking a picture with a coach.

Great to see former Clemson teammate Kevin Youngblood here to greet us at the White House #ClemsonVisitsDC pic.twitter.com/szMdBJErzZ

That agent was former Tigers wide receiver Kevin Youngblood, who played for Clemson from 2000-2003, and the coach was his former teammate and current co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott. Youngblood went undrafted in 2004 before a brief stint in the NFL that ended with the Carolina Panthers in 2007.

He proceeded to play one season with the Georgia Force of the Arena Football League before growing tired of the moving around and looking for something more steady. He applied to an opening with the Secret Service despite no background in law enforcement and impressed during the interview process, according to The Florida Times-Union

He was hired in 2009 and has worked as a liaison since then, predominantly working with diplomats -- and their families -- from all over the world, dealing with anything from auto accidents and parking to lost and stolen items.

So Monday was a special day for Youngblood as he got to see his former team receive the ultimate honor and get his picture with Scott, whom he played with from 2000-02.
