Fresno State wide receiver Davante Adams is declaring for the NFL draft, joining Bulldogs quarterback Derek Carr in the pros.
Fresno State wide receiver Davante Adams is declaring for the NFL draft, according to a source. He plans to improve on his third-round grade from the NFL draft advisory board.
CBS Sports reported Tuesday that Adams -- the nation's leader in receptions (131), receiving yards (1,718) and receiving touchdowns (24) -- was expected to leave school after his redshirt sophomore seasons.
Adams is leaving school the same time as his senior quarterback, Derek Carr, who led an offense in which Adams thrived with 233 catches and more than 3,000 yards since 2012.
