LOOK: All-Big 12 college kicker trolls haters by publishing fan tweets in a video
Cole Netten had the perfect response to all the hate tweets he's received
Iowa State kicker Cole Netten had a season to remember in 2016. The senior finished at the top of the Big 12 in field goal percentage (94.1 percent) and went 35 of 37 on extra points. Those numbers were good enough to be honored with a first-team All-Big 12 selection.
But there was a time when things weren't going so well for Netten. Though he went 35 of 36 on extra points in 2015, he went just 14-of-19 on field goal attempts -- including 1 of 3 against Northern Iowa -- and missed some kicks from short range.
And in the Twitter universe, there's an outlet to rip on those types of performances, whether the person's handle is included or not.
So with Netten's career ending on a high note, he opted to, shall we say, pay tribute to all of those who, um, "motivated" him to improve. Check out the video below on Netten's Twitter account. It is absolutely outstanding and a perfect mic drop.
