LOOK: San Jose State has new gold helmets
San Jose State revealed new helmets with a matte yellow finish and shiny Spartan logo.
San Jose State has some new helmets for 2014, as revealed by the team's official Twitter account on Monday.
The new lids appear to have a matte yellow finish -- officially, gold is the school color so let's call it goldenrod -- with a shiny Spartan logo on one side and interlocking logo on the other. This is a departure from 2013, when San Jose State primarily used a blue helmet to pair with either a white or gold top.
Will this mean San Jose State has an all-gold look ready for 2014? Maybe the Spartans will debut some aureate alternates when they play at Auburn on Sept. 6. We can only hope.
