LSU DE Jordan Allen transfers to Arizona
Defensive end Jordan Allen has transferred from LSU to Arizona.
Arizona has added another transfer to the ranks.
Former LSU defensive end Jordan Allen announced Tuesday that he has transferred to Arizona. Allen will not have to sit out a season and he is immediately eligible in 2014 because he's graduating from LSU this spring. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
"I was just ready for a fresh start; something different," Allen told the Arizona Daily Star. "I wanted to find a place where I could come in and help the team and ultimately help them win a championship. Arizona seems like the perfect spot to do that."
Allen, who announced his decision to transfer from LSU after the conclusion of spring practice, played in 13 games for LSU last season, finishing with 16 tackles and two sacks.
Allen was also a former teammate of fellow Arizona transfer Jerrard Randall. Randall originally committed to LSU in 2011 before transferring to a community college, and then transferring to Arizona for the 2014 season. Both of them are among a group of recent transfers to Tucson like Connor Brewer, DaVonte Neal, Jesse Scroggins and Cayleb Jones.
