The Advocate is reporting that LSU cornerback Rashard Robinson and wide receiver Malachi Dupre did not make the trip to Houston with the team on Friday, and neither will play in the team's opener against Wisconsin.

According to the paper Dupre suffered an ankle injury in practice this week and Robinson has been "temporarily suspended." The school said Les Miles will not comment on the situation until after Saturday night's game.

Robinson was named to the preseason All-SEC third team, but he's been practicing with the second-string defense for most of fall practice. He played in 12 games as a freshman in 2013, starting the final two games, and finished the season with 16 tackles and three passes defended.

Dupre was a five-star member of LSU's 2014 recruiting class, and the freshman was expected to help the Tigers offense replace the losses of Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry at the receiver position. Instead he's been dealing with injuries throughout practice, though he is expected to return next week.

As for Saturday night's game, it remains to be seen what kind of impact their absences will have against Wisconsin, but I'm sure Les Miles would prefer having both players available to him.
