Michigan looking at Alabama transfer OG Chad Lindsay
The Michigan Wolverines could be in the market for offensive line help with Chad Lindsay, who's leaving Alabama despite four SEC starts.
Michigan is evaluating former Alabama offensive guard Chad Lindsay as a potential transfer option, according to a source.
Lindsay is leaving the Tide despite starting four games last season and the chance to enhance that total in 2014.
It's uncertain whether Lindsay will end up in Ann Arbor, but exploring the option makes sense because of offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier, who left Alabama to lead the Wolverines' offense.
Lindsay has graduated and therefore can play right away.
"I’ve received a lot of offers from schools all over the country and I am going to take my time in making my decision," Lindsay said via text earlier in the week.
While Lindsay leaves Alabama short a veteran lineman, he could join a young Michigan offensive line that will be without center Graham Glasgow for the season opener against Appalachian State.
