Michigan OL Graham Glasgow pleads guilty to misdemeanor charge
Michigan offensive lineman Graham Glasgow pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of driving while visibly impaired.
Michigan junior offensive lineman Graham Glasgow pleaded guilty in Ann Arbor Monday to a misdemeanor charge of driving a vehicle while visibly impaired, the Associated Press reported.
The plea came as part of a deal which reduced the charge from the more-serious offense of driving while intoxicated, a charge that dates to a March 15 incident. Glasgow is scheduled for sentencing July 14, with the maximum penalty for his new charge 93 days in jail.
Glasgow started all 13 games for the Wolverines in 2013, either at center or left guard. But Brady Hoke announced in spring his starting streak would be over in the season opener against Appalachian State, thanks to a one-game suspension.
"Each of our young men understands the standard we expect of them," Hoke said in a statement. "When their actions don't reflect that standard, it's very disappointing, and we must hold them accountable for their decision while helping them learn a valuable life lesson."
