Fax machines across the country will be busy Wednesday as recruits from all over send in their letters of intent to their new schools. It's the culmination of a lot of work by coaching staffs, as they spend a lot of time travelling the country trying to fill their teams' needs.

With that in mind, let's look at the 12 schools of the Mountain West Conference, their needs and what their coaches are doing to help fill them in the 2013 recruiting class.

Mountain Division

Air Force -- Needs: RB, QB. 247Sports Team Class Rank: 112 - The Falcons needed help in the backfield with the departure of leading rusher Cody Getz and quarterback Connor Dietz. Bryan Driskell should help fill the hole at tailback while Dominique Allen provides a dual-threat option at quarterback.

Boise State -- Needs: DL, OL, RB. 247Sports Team Class Rank: 52 - The Boise State machine keeps chugging along, this time with six junior college pledges, four of whom have already enrolled in school. The Broncos filled their needs in the trenches with defensive tackle Tutulupeatau Mataele and four other stout defenders. Derrick Thomas could be the next great BSU running back, while corner Cleshawn Page has NFL potential.

Colorado State -- Needs: DL, WR, QB. 247Sports Team Class Rank: 77 - The Rams have 22 commitments, with five of them being junior college players who enrolled mid-year. The jewel of the class if quarterback Nick Stevens, a pro-style passer who could play early. CSU has seven defensive line commitments but it may be hard to hold onto all of them come signing day.

New Mexico -- Needs: WR, DB, QB. 247Sports Team Class Rank: 87 - The Lobos needed wide receivers and they picked up pledges from six players who can potentially contribute there, including three-star Lamar Jordan of Frisco, Texas. Local product Romell Jordan, a running back, is the state's top-rated player and ranked 20th nationally by 247sports.

Utah State -- Needs: WR, DB, QB. 247Sports Team Class Rank: 110 - Losing head coach Gary Andersen threw a wrench in the Aggie recruiting effort, but his replacement, Matt Wells, did a good job at reeling in local talent. He hopes to sign five wide receivers, including Ronald Butler of Contra Costa College. Quarterback Wyatt Houston is an intriguing prospect as well.

Wyoming -- Needs: OL, DB, RB. 247Sports Team Class Rank: 111 - The Cowboys did a great job of getting early enrollment candidates as seven players are already in school, including big defensive tackle Troy Boyland. Wyoming needed to load up on the offensive line and it did just that, with six prospects expected to sign, led by top center prospect Albert Perez. Keep an eye out for rangy tight end J.D. Krill.

West Division

Fresno State -- Needs: DL, OL, WR. 247Sports Team Class Rank: 69 - The Bulldogs are poised to sign a massive 29-player class that is loaded on both lines and at wide receiver. The jewels of the group are quarterback Zack Greenlee, who participated in the Elite 11 camp over the summer, and junior college safety Rodney Mathews

Hawaii -- Needs: WR, LB, DL. 247Sports Team Class Rank: 71 - Norm Chow's second recruiting class looks to be much stronger than his first. The Warriors have a four-star defensive tackle in junior college transfer Charlie Tua'au, plus an excellent quarterback prospect in Aaron Zwahlen. Running back Diocemy Saint Juste should make the all-name team one day.

Nevada -- Needs: OL, QB, RB. 247Sports Team Class Rank: 88 - Brian Polian replaced Chris Ault and quickly got to work fillling needs. The Wolfpack will sign four offensive linemen, including the highly-regarded Ziad Damanhoury, plus two quarterbacks, with dual-threat Dante Mayes being the the highlight. He'll be a perfect fit for the Pistol offense.

San Diego State -- Needs: DB, WR. 247Sports Team Class Rank: 73 - The Aztecs needed wide outs and defensive backs and they stocked up with 11 total players for those units. ReceiverJulius Wilson was sought after by several Pac-12 schools, while Marcus Stamps has a lot of upside at either running back or safety.

San Jose State -- Needs: DL, WR. 247Sports Team Class Rank: 127 - Losing head coach Mike MacIntyre to Colorado hurt and the Spartans enter signing day with just nine commitments. Luckily, two of them are safety Brandon Monroe and wide receiver Thomas Tucker.

UNLV -- Needs: DL, LB, WR. 247Sports Team Class Rank: 104 -- UNLV has 17 commitments ready for signing day, with the jewel being David Moffitt of perennial prep power Concord De La Salle. Quarterback Jared Lebowitz could compete for playing time early in his career.
