The Orange Bowl has waited four long years in the BCS rotation to host the BCS Championship Game, and they're marking the occastion with a welcome charitable donation.
Per USA Today's Rachel George and other outlets, the Orange Bowl will donate $1 to the Sandy Hook Memorial Scholarship Fund for every fan in attendance at the BCS Championship Game -- a gesture that thanks to a sellout at Sun Life Stadium will net the fund $80,120.
The fund was started by the University of Connecticut and was recently pledged $1 million by the Connecticut Education Association.
