Oregon State and San Jose State announce home-and-home series
The two schools will meet in Corvallis in 2015 and in San Jose in 2020.
This isn't exactly the kind of scheduling announcement that will have the entire college football world talking, but on Tuesday Oregon State and San Jose State announced a home-and-home series that will take place in the 2015 and 2020 seasons.
The first game will be played in Corvallis on September 19, 2015 with Oregon State making the return trip to San Jose on September 9, 2020. The 2015 contest will be the sixth time the two schools have met, as Oregon State has won the last three matchups (1987, 1988 and 1997) after San Jose State won the first two meetings (1979 and 1982).
The press release from Oregon State said the 2015 meeting "tentatively" completes Oregon State's 2015 non-conference slate alongside games against Weber State and Michigan. Whether the "tentatively" means that could be changing in the near future remains to be seen.
Whatever the case, Oregon State wasn't the only team San Jose State was adding to its future schedules on Tuesday. The Spartans also announced that they'd extended their agreement with BYU to feature two more games in 2015 and 2017. The Spartans also added two road games against Auburn in 2014 and 2015.
