Patriots sideline celebrates after Devin McCourty's big hit

Devin McCourty slated the door shut for any chance of a comeback for the Denver Broncos forcing Demaryius Thomas to drop a deep ball after a thunderous hit with just under six minutes to play in the fourth quarter of their Week 15 match-up.

It was a statement play during a statement outing for the New England Patriots defense and after the play the sideline was amped up. In a video released by the team on their Instagram account, you can see various teammates and coaches go up to McCourty after the hit giving him their congratulatory "atta boys."

"That's what I'm talkin' about, fellas!"

"That's the way to bring it, Dev. Nice job baby," said Bill Belichick before embracing him.

McCourty shouted to the rest of the teammates and coaches around him, "I told you we good!"

The Patriots held the Broncos to just three points in Week 15, while intercepting Trevor Siemian once and recovering two fumbles. So far this season, this unit has allowed the least amount of points in the league and are in the top-ten in fewest total yards allowed per game.
