PHOTO: Charlie Weis is confusing us
Kansas coach Charlie Weis either has trouble counting, extremely low expectations, or is just incredibly sarcastic. Maybe all three.
It seems that Kansas had a recruiting camp at Arrowhead Stadium Wednesday, which is normally home to the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs. Coach Charlie Weis tweeted a photo from the event, and well, I'm not entirely sure what to make of it.
From what I can gather, Weis either has trouble with math, incredibly low expectations, or is very sarcastic. It's possible all three are true, but here's the tweet that Weis sent out that is causing the confusion.
Huge turnout at Arrowhead. Much greater than expected. Boys are ready to compete. This should be fun. Rock Chalk. pic.twitter.com/k79MXEExWD— Coach Charlie Weis (@CoachWeisKansas) June 25, 2014
I count 40 people in that photo, but my count may be off. Perhaps there's 5,000 people in the photo and I missed a few.
Maybe Weis just tweeted the wrong photo, and the other side of the stadium is absolutely packed?
Or, as was pointed out to us on Twitter, since it's a recruiting camp it's likely an NCAA violation for Weis to tweet a photo of any recruits. Still, he could have just sent out the tweet without attaching the photo and saved us all a lot of confusion.
