PHOTO: Florida State ACC title ring celebrates 'SEC Champions'
The ACC championship ring delivered to former Florida State and current Oakland Raiders tackle Menelik Watson mistakenly reads SEC instead of ACC.
Former Florida State offensive tackle Menelik Watson was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the 2013 NFL Draft, so he was a little behind his teammates in receiving the commemorative ring for winning the 2012 ACC championship.
Only one issue -- his ring celebrates the "SEC Champions."
In an error that will surely be the topic of discussion in the Sunshine State for the rest of the week, the inscription on one side of Watson's ring read "SEC" when it should be "ACC."
The rest of the side profile is correct; the final score between Florida State and Georgia Tech, even the ACC title trophy. In fact, an incorrect score might have been less newsworthy, but this is a mistake between two conferences that share the southeast region of the United States. Fans won't let this one go.
