Georgia Tech announced Sunday that the Yellow Jackets will be celebrating Grant Field's 100th anniversary during their pivotal ACC Coastal showdown with Virginia Tech this Thursday. The festivities will include fireworks, returning All-Americans, a commemorative coin used for the coin toss ... but of course, anyone not a Jacket diehard will be wondering only if Georgia Tech will also be wearing throwbacks for the occasion.
And this being college football in the year 2013, of course they will! Here's a look:
Maybe a little on the high schoolish side, but anything that reminds us of Calvin Johnson's time in Atlanta (however obliquely) gets a firm thumbs-up.
