As recruiting angles go, you wouldn't think "come play for the nihilistic homicidal maniac who'd joyfully murder your parents if it would help bring about the total annihilation of modern society" would be all that effective.
But The Dark Knight did make a lot of money at the box office and Heath Ledger got his face on a lot of T-shirts, so here's a Tweet from Florida wide receivers coach and former Kentucky head coach Joker Phillips that reads -- in all-caps -- "IT'S TIME TO COME PLAY WR FOR THE JOKER!" and includes this photo:
Between Phillips' new "let's blow up opposing secondaries together, and also some buildings" pitch and the ongoing race to see which team can make a recruit's mail slot explode with letters a la the owl scene in the first Harry Potter movie, yes, it's safe to say the recruiting envelope is getting quite the push this offseason.
