PHOTO: Mississippi State alternate for 2014 opener vs. Southern Miss

Mississippi State will honor the 100th anniversary of Scott Field with a vintage uniform design for the 2014 season opener against Southern Miss

The jersey has "Hail State" written across the front and "Bulldogs" on the back as player names. The design is a throwback to the uniforms worn by Mississippi State in the 1990's, particularly the 1998 team that won the SEC West Division crown.

“Our partnership with Adidas has been outstanding for our program and student-athletes,” head coach Dan Mullen said in an official release. “Our players will enjoy wearing this uniform to start our highly anticipated 2014 season. I think it’s appropriate that the uniform is a design similar to the classic look of our 1990s uniform that the fans love.”
