The Broncos will honor the memory of Eastern Michigan receiver Demarius Reed when the teams play this weekend.
For the second time in 2013, Western Michigan's helmets will pay tribute to a college football player tragically killed during the season -- and this time, the grieving team will be on the opposite sideline.
Per the official Bronco Twitter feed and WMU media relations official Mat Kanan, Western Michigan will wear the No. 2 on their helmets Saturday against Eastern Michigan to honor the memory of Eagle receiver Demarius Reed. Reed was killed in a shooting at an Ypsilanti, Mich. apartment complex October 18.
The Eagles will host the Broncos in Rynearson Stadium at 1 p.m. Saturday.
In September, the Broncos wore a small Cincinnati logo decal in memory of the Bearcats' Ben Flick, the offensive lineman who had died in a car accident.
