PHOTOS: Tennessee's new gray alternate uniform
Tennessee has some brand new alternate uniforms for the 2013 season, and there's a lot more gray than orange in them.
As I've documented on this blog over the last few years, when it comes to new uniforms Adidas is a plague upon the sport of college football. So I cringed when I learned that Adidas would be creating a new alternate uniform for Tennessee this season, but you know what? They're not bad.
I mean, I don't know how Vol traditionalists will feel about the team wearing a gray uniform instead of that trademark orange, but all in all, I don't know what else anybody can be upset about with these. There's nothing crazy about them, just a change in color, and it's a nice color.
Good job, Adidas. This doesn't make up for all the atrocities you committed before this, but it's a step in the right direction.
Here's another angle that gives us a better look at the pattern on chest and shoulders.
