PHOTOS: Vandal spray-paints 'FSU' on Auburn buildings
There's a prankster afoot on the Plains. Too bad he or she isn't all that clever.
Auburn faces Florida State in the BCS Championship Game Monday night at 8:30 p.m. ET, and every man, woman and child in the "Loveliest Village on the Plains" will be watching and rooting fervently for the Tigers ... right?
Well, perhaps not. Via The War Eagle Reader, one unidentified vandal has taken to spray-painting "FSU" on a multitude of buildings across campus, with the graffiti apparently committed sometime Saturday night and early Sunday morning:
Police told The War Eagle Reader there aren't any suspects at this time.
Of course, while the graffiti could be the work of a zealous FSU fan who just couldn't keep his love for Seminoles bottled up any longer amidst the flood of Auburn support, it could also be the work of a prankster guessing -- perhaps correctly -- that no possible spray-painted message would get quite as much attention right now as one in support of the team on the opposite sideline Monday night.
In any case, one can only hope that the next time this or another vandal strikes the Auburn campus, he or she puts a little more thought and effort into it; if the Seminoles' performance mirrors the same lack of commitment shown by the hasty monochromatic "FSU"'s, the vandal's likely team will be in a world of trouble.
