PODCAST: Fisch and Chips Week 1 Rewind

Despite the 41-14 loss to Alabama, Bryan Fischer says the Michigan has plenty left to play for in 2012. (US Presswire)

Just like that, we're off and running.

The first week of college football is in the bag, and Bryan Fischer and I are here to sort out what we saw over Labor Day weekend. Bryan was on the scene for Alabama Crimson Tide 's 41-14 drubbing of Michigan Wolverines , as well as Baylor Bears 's opener against Southern Methodist Mustangs on Sunday. We start there and then move around the country, breaking down the most impressive and disappointing performances of the weekend.

Oregon Ducks and USC clearly showed they are the class of the Pac-12 and both worthy of their Top 5 rankings, but the Big 12 looks wide open after Oklahoma Sooners 's struggle with UTEP and both West Virginia and Oklahoma State Cowboys hanging 60+ on their Week 1 opponents. Bryan and I also preview a big weekend in the SEC, with Texas Longhorns A&M and Missouri Tigers opening up league play against Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs .
