Podcast: Handicapping the 2014-15 College Football Playoff bracket
Tom Fornelli and Chip Patterson forecast the competition for a spot in college football's first four-team playoff bracket.
All the March Madness talk has given us bracket fever, so we made our first attempt to forecast the field for our own four-team bracket, the College Football Playoff.
Tom Fornelli returns to the show as we take a look at the teams expected to be in the hunt for a spot in the four-team playoff and handicap each conference's chances at getting one (or more) team into the inaugural bracket.
Podcast topics include, but are not limited to:
-- Odds a non-power conference (SEC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12, ACC) team makes the College Football Playoff
-- We need a catchy name for the power conferences. Tom and I suggest "Party of Five"
-- Odds a Non-Party of Five team wins the College Football Playoff
-- Odds the SEC occupies 2 of the 4 spots in the playoff, and what other conference has the best chances to be a multi-bid league?
-- Party of Five conference most likely to get shut out from the College Football Playoff in 2014-15
