Podcast: Kansas State as a Big 12 contender, CFP busters for 2014
Tom Fornelli joins Chip Patterson on the Eye On College Football Podcast to discuss the hype around Kansas State's 2014 season and identify teams from the MW, MAC and American that could earn a spot in the College Football Playoff access bowls.
Kansas State was one of the last major conference teams to start spring practice, and the extra attention has resulted in some buzz surrounding Bill Snyder's squad for 2014. The Wildcats return star all-purpose wide receiver Tyler Lockett and defensive end Ryan Mueller, but not a ton of starters, from the 2013 team that won six of its final seven. Is there enough in Manhattan to contend for a Big 12 title?
Tom Fornelli joins me on the latest edition of the podcast to answer that question (or at least figure out whether or not to buy the hype). We also run down some news of the day and start picking the favorite for the one spot in the College Football Playoff access bowls reserved for a non-major conference team -- the top ranked team from American, MW, MAC, C-USA and Sun Belt.
