Report: Former Georgia Tech WR Jeff Greene to walk on at Ohio State
Former Georgia Tech receiver Jeff Greene will pay his own way to try to play for Ohio State.
Greene saw action for the Yellow Jackets as a 2011 freshman and then led Tech in receiving last season, catching 18 passes for 284 yards and two touchdowns.
He parted ways with the school in December, amid reports that questioned his work ethic and maturity. He will sit out the 2013 season due to transfer rules and then have two years of eligibility remaining with the Buckeyes.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder is in the mold of recent Yellow Jacket receivers: Big, strong and fast for his size. If Urban Meyer can properly motivate him, the Buckeyes might have just landed a receiver who can help their cause, and without having to use a scholarship.
