Report: Four players leaving Kentucky
The Wildcats have been hurt by the loss of sophomore wide receivers, including DeMarcus Sweat.
Sophomore receivers DeMarcus Sweat and Bookie Cobbins and freshman defensive backs Shawn Blaylock and Sterling Wright will all be transferring to other programs.
The loss of Sweat and Cobbins hurts the most, as the Wildcats will be left with just four returning scholarship players at wide out. That could hinder the development of Kentucky's new 'Air-Raid' offense, which requires a lot of depth at receiver.
Sweat had four receptions for 84 yards last season. Cobbins did not catch a pass.
Blaylock played in seven games and had 15 tackles for the Wildcats, while Wright redshirted.
The Herald-Leader also reported that a fifth player, linebacker Demarius Rancifer, could also be leaving the program, but Kentucky would not confirm it.
