Report: UConn QB Richard Lagow transferring to Oklahoma State

Earlier this offseason Oklahoma State lost a quarterback to a transfer when Wes Lunt decided to leave Stillwater for Illinois. Now it seems that the Cowboys will be replacing Lunt with a transfer of their own.

According to ESPN.com's Damon Sayles, Connecticut quarterback Richard Lagow is transferring to Oklahoma State.

While neither UConn or Oklahoma State have confirmed the transfer, a quick glance at Lagow's personal Twitter page seems to provide all the confirmation anybody would need. Lagow tweeted the following note on his Twitter account on Tuesday.

"I want to thank the University of Connecticut for the opportunity to attend an outstanding university on a spectacular campus with great people," wrote Lagow. "I wanted to make certain I honored my commitment to the university and supporters and competed through the summer and camp. My position on the football team is adequately stocked and I know that I can leave and not feel I have let down the team. I am headed back home and wish the players I have met the absolute best and look forward to seeing some of my new friends again someday. I appreciate all the encouragement and support, especially the Myers family. I believe this is what is best for everyone."

Lagow was a three-star member of UConn's 2013 recruiting class and just enrolled in the school earlier this month. He is from Plano, Texas so moving from Connecticut to Oklahoma State will bring him a lot closer to home.
