Chances are West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen did not enjoy his three-day holiday weekend. According to a report in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, not one but two of his players were arrested in separate incidents over the weekend.

Safety Karl Joseph, who was named to our CBSSports.com Freshman All-America Team after leading West Virginia in tackles with 95 last season, was arrested early Sunday morning and faces charges of driving under the influence and possession of a fake ID. Joseph is only 19 years old and is from Orlando, Fla.

He was stopped around 2:45 a.m., when he was spotted allegedly driving without his headlights on, the Post-Gazette said. When police approached Joseph, the officer said he had “glassy, bloodshot eyes, and his breath smelled of alcohol," according to the story.

Junior safety Travis Bell from Belle Glade, Fla., was arrested on domestic battery charges on Sunday afternoon and was freed on $7,400 bond after his arraignment, accoring to WAJR.com. A woman alleged that Bell hit her multiple times and threw her to the ground. Bell reportedly lives with the victim and has a child with her.

“I have been made aware of the situation, and I am gathering facts at this time. I will take appropriate action when all the facts are in,” said Dana Holgorsen in a statement.
