UCLA wide receiver Cordell Broadus, the son of rapper Snoop Dogg and a four-star prospect coming out of Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, has quit the team.

"Cordell informed me yesterday that he has decided to pursue other passions in life, in particular his love of film through his company Film School Productions," Jim Mora said in an official statement. "Cordell is an amazing young man with many talents, and we wish him nothing but the best as he continues to pursue his degree at UCLA"

Broadus did not report to fall camp, though he did show up to campus for summer classes. UCLA is well-known for its film school, so at least if Broadus is done with football he's in a good place to pursue his other passion.

He was not expected to make an immediate impact for the Bruins in 2015, but losing a four-star wide receiver -- regardless of his notoriety -- is rarely seen in a positive light.
