Sue Paterno hospitalized after on-campus fall
Joe Paterno's widow is in the hospital after a fall, but she is expected to make a quick recovery.
Per the Associated Press, Joe Paterno's widow, Sue Paterno, has been hospitalized after a fall on the Penn State campus.
Family spokesman Dan McGinn confirmed to the AP that Paterno fell while visiting a campus memorial service Thursday and was subsquently hospitalized for observation. McGinn said "her attitude and resolve are great" and that she is expected to be released by the end of the week.
No other details have been made available.
The Paterno family was back in Pennsylvania headlines recently when Joe and Sue's son, former Nittany Lion assistant Jay Paterno, announced his candidacy for the state's lieutenant governor's office.
