Taylor Martinez's brother to transfer from Nebraska
Nebraska safety Drake Martinez, the younger brother of former Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez, is transferring.
Nebraska is losing the entire Martinez family this offseason.
Quarterback Taylor Martinez left school the old fashioned way, graduating this year, but now his younger brother, Drake Martinez, is leaving the school the way all the kids are these days: he's transferring.
The younger Martinez, a safety, redshirted in 2013 as he dealt with several injuries during the season that kept him out of practice. This spring he had to sit out of practice after having his tonsils removed, and was likely going to enter the fall on the second or third-team Nebraska defense.
Martinez's dad told ESPN that his son was just looking for "a fresh start in a new school."
And if you're wondering how hard it was to get through this entire post without writing "Drake started at Nebraska now he's looking for a new team here," the answer is too hard, obviously, because I just did it.
