Tim Tebow's BCS title prediction was close to perfect
ESPN college football analyst Tim Tebow predicted that Florida State would beat Auburn 35-31 in the BCS title game.
Former Florida and NFL quarterback Tim Tebow was thrown into the fire on his first official day as a college football analyst for ESPN. While the first day of work for most people involves some sort of orientation, Tebow was tasked with more than six hours of BCS title game coverage from the Rose Bowl.
If Monday night is any precursor to Tebow's work on the SEC Network in the fall, the Heisman Trophy winning quarterback might have a following for his game picks.
"Auburn might be a team of destiny, but tonight, Florida State is deeper from top to bottom," Tebow said before the game on ESPN. "(With) Jameis Winston and Telvin Smith’s leadership in the fourth quarter, I think they win 35-31."
But Tim Tebow was not the only one who nearly hit the score perfectly. Here at CBSSports.com, Bruce Feldman also predicted a 35-31 victory for Florida State.
"Hope he did better than I did on the rest of the BCS Bowl picks," Feldman said of Tebow's selections.
With underdogs winning in the other BCS bowls of the year, Feldman was not alone. You can check out all of our Expert Picks from bowl season here.
