Tip McKenzie is playing at Alcorn State
Jaborian "Tip" McKenzie is one of four former Vanderbilt players currently facing rape charges.
Jaborian "Tip" McKenzie is one of four former Vanderbilt players to be charged with five counts of aggravated rape and two counts of aggravated sexual battery. However, just because McKenzie is no longer with Vanderbilt, that doesn't mean he isn't playing college football.
As the Nashville Post reports, not only has McKenzie transferred to Alcorn State, but he also played for the Braves last Saturday against Mississippi State.
McKenzie returned three kickoffs for 80 yards and caught one pass for four yards in Alcorn State's 51-7 loss. And while McKenzie is not listed on the official Alcorn State roster, his name is clearly visible in the box score of Saturday's game on Mississippi State's website.
McKenzie is also listed on the game recap posted to Alcon State's official website.
Transfer Jaborian "Tip" McKenzie saw his first action as a Brave on kickoff return recording 80 yards on three returns. McKenzie is a transfer from Vanderbilt University.
Now, while every person charged with a crime is owed their day in court, it's somewhat hard to believe that Alcorn State would allow McKenzie to play considering the severity of the charges he's facing. Accepting his transfer is one thing, but putting him on the field before the case is settled is another.
