It's the moment we've all been waiting for. Ever since the NCAA announced its new rule that would allow officials to eject players for targeting we've wondered who the first player to be ejected would be.
We need not wait any longer. It was Tulane cornerback Lorenzo Doss.
Our first targeting call of the year at the Superdome, #Tulane's Doss called for hammering the quarterback and is ejected. Absurd rule.

Sadly, we did not see the hit on Jackson State's quarterback, so we cannot definitively tell you if the call was "absurd." What we can tell you is that Doss will not be the last player ejected this year, and there will be an ejection in a game that gets a lot more attention than Tulane and Jackson State.
