Urban Meyer and Bret Bielema don't miss each other
With Ohio State and Wisconsin getting ready to play this weekend, the current Ohio State coach and former Wisconsin coach are not missing each other one bit.
As big as this weekend's game between Ohio State and Wisconsin is it seems to be lacking a bit of an edge to it since Bret Bielema is no longer coaching at Wisconsin. When Urban Meyer took over at Ohio State it became clear quickly that the two men weren't exactly best friends, as Bielema took exception to some of Meyer's recruiting practices.
Well, it seems absence has not made the heart grow fonder in this case.
Earlier this week Urban Meyer was asked if he would miss being on the opposite sideline from Bielema. Meyer smiled before saying "No, I'm good with Gary [Andersen]."
Gary Anderson spent a season as Meyer's defensive line coach at Utah before Meyer left to take the Florida job. So the two know each other.
Well, as tends to happen, Bielema was asked for his reaction to Urban's response to the question and he said "the feeling's mutual."
So I guess these two won't be getting together for a beer any time soon.
