The Razorbacks got in on the spring game fun with a touchdown from superfan Canaan Sandy.
If there's small reason to mourn that spring games have become less important and more like glorified practices over the past few years, there's probably even more reason to celebrate, thanks to the trend of special fans getting their moment in the athletic sun.
Eight-year-old Kaiden Schroeder, who was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia in 2009, ran for a score in Kansas State's game Saturday. Right around the same time, Arkansas got in on the fun thanks to Hog superfan Canaan Sandy. Sandy, who was elected to ESPN's sports fan Hall of Fame in 2013, took off on a 50-yard jaunt late in the Red's 61-22 win over the white. Have a look, and enjoy:
