WATCH LIST: Oregon's Ifo Ekpre-Olomu headlines Thorpe Award list

Watch Lists: Maxwell (player of the year) | Bednarik (defensive player) | More

Watch list week continued on Friday with the Jim Thorpe Award releasing preseason watch lists. We'll be posting at least one of these lengthy roll calls each day this week, getting our minds set for football seasons before conference media days get started later this month.

The Jim Thorpe Award goes to the nation's best defensive back. Last season it was given to Darqueze Dennard, Michigan State's lockdown cornerback.

The headliner of this 39-player list is Oregon cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, a semifinalist for the award in 2013. Other players who could challenge the Ducks' star include Alabama saftey Landon Collins and Florida cornerback Vernon Hargreaves.
