Texas wide receiver Mike Davis was flagged for a targeted low block on Iowa State safety Deon Broomfield, but not ejected.
When Iowa State fans begin listing their grievances from Thursday night's 31-30 home loss to Texas, the first thing will likely be Iowa State's apparent goal line strip that was missed by the officials. That was the first thing Paul Rhoads mentioned in his passionate postgame remarks, and it determined the game's outcome.
But next on the list will likely be a plea to the Big 12 office for punishment to be handed down to Texas wide receiver Mike Davis . The Lonhorns' star wide receiver, cleared to play just before the game, was penalized for throwing a targeted low block after the play on Iowa State senior safety Deon Broomfield.
Davis was not ejected from the game, and he continued to defend his actions after the game.
