Army beat Navy 21-17 on Saturday to end a 14-game losing streak in the rivalry series, but it was not the only impressive streak that saw its conclusion in Baltimore.

Verne Lundquist, whose voice has filled living rooms and bars all over the country on every fall Saturday over the last 17 years as the lead college football voice of CBS, called his final game.

At the end of the broadcast, the man affectionately known as Uncle Verne signed off one last time, which you can watch above. He delivered some heartfelt thoughts to fans and co-workers, but his last words -- "Hi, honey" -- were actually caught by a hot mic as the first person he wanted to speak to after saying goodbye was his wife, Nancy.

We're not crying. You're crying.
