Miami-Ohio hires Tennessee State head coach John Cooper
Miami-Ohio has hired Tennessee State head coach John Cooper.
The school will introduce Cooper, who has spent the past three seasons at Tennessee State, on Monday at 3 p.m.
Athletic director Brad Bates was spurned by Arizona associate head coach James Whitford earlier on Friday -- and then turned to Cooper, who led TSU to its first winning campaign since 1996 with a 20-13 record this past season.
Cooper was also an assistant at Auburn, Oregon and South Carolina.
