Report: Alabama's Tony Mitchell enters NBA draft

By Jeff Borzello | College Basketball Writer

After a tumultuous two months, Tony Mitchell 's college career is over.

The Alabama junior will enter the NBA Draft, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports.

Mitchell received his release from the Crimson Tide two weeks ago, and he was up in the air whether to transfer or enter the draft. A source told CBSSports.com's Jeff Goodman at the time that Mitchell would have work to do academically in order to transfer.

Head coach Anthony Grant suspended Mitchell on Feb. 11 for conduct detrimental to the team. After missing three games, Mitchell was then suspended for the rest of the season.

The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 13.1 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.
