Louisville signee Terry Rozier needs year of prep school

Louisville looks to be a top-three preseason team for the upcoming season, but the Cardinals received some bad news on Tuesday morning.

Terry Rozier, who committed to Louisville last September, will need a year of prep school and will not join the Cardinals this fall.

“I'm still committed to Louisville,” Rozier told CardinalAuthority.com. “But I talked to coach [Pitino] and I think this is the best thing for me. I'll be able to spend a year getting better and am still excited about coming to Louisville.”

He will head to Hargrave Military Academy (Va.), where he will play alongside 2013 Louisville commit Anton Gill.

Rozier, a 6-foot-1 point guard from Shaker Heights (Ohio), was ranked No. 99 in the class of 2012. He was expected to provide backup minutes behind Peyton Siva.
