VIDEO: Chris Mack parodies "Call Me Maybe"
I thought we were done with the "Call Me Maybe" parody videos. Everyone's done them to death at this point.
But then I was tipped to this: a college basketball coach, his family and a team mascot. All in a cozy minivan, each one lip-syncing to Carly Rae Jepsen's hit of the millennium. (Note: Because Mack has now done this, the song is no longer trendy or chic. Adjust your summer accordingly.)
Mack -- who's good for a follow on Twitter -- has made a name for himself in the game because he's deftly continued to carry on the winning tradition at Xavier. But he also gets tough love and good-natured ribbing from the blog because he doesn't take himself too seriously. In between the grueling recruiting trips and grind of the summer, Mack does ... things like this.
How many other college coaches would? I'd love for the number to be much higher. Roy Williams, find thee a copy of "Teenage Dream" and just let the Internet do the rest of the work.
Mack is joined by his wife, Christi, and daughters Lainee (7) and Hailey (5). The fuzzy, oversized varmint in the backseat with Mack is Xavier's team mascot, Blue Blob.
