An MRI was conducted at a hospital after practice. The results aren't expected until Thursday.
Muhammad is widely regarded as one of college basketball's top newcomers. The 6-foot-6 wing is projected by DraftExpress.com as the No. 1 pick of the 2013 NBA Draft, but the Las Vegas native has been in the headlines more often recently because his eligibility remains undetermined thanks to questions surrounding his amateur status.
CBSSports.com reported in February that Muhammad's family had connections to two different financial advisors, and that those connections had drawn the NCAA's attention. That story has developed slowly over recent months with no sign of a resolution. But, either way, UCLA fans now have something else to consider -- specifically whether Muhammad will be healthy enough to play even if he's ultimately cleared to do so.
