On Thursday, the story of the afternoon session was the officiating in UNC-Asheville's upset bid against Syracuse.
Will the same happen on Friday? It wasn't as immediately noticeable as Thursday's controversial calls, but it might have had more of an impact.
Down by five to Florida State with 30 seconds left, St. Bonaventure's Demeitrius Conger knocked down a 3-pointer to cut the Seminoles' lead to two. On the ensuing inbounds pass, Florida State forward Okaro White threw the ball inbounds to Deividas Dulkys, who was then fouled.
On the pass, however, replays show that White seemed to step inbounds when delivering the ball to Dulkys. That would have been a violation, and the Bonnies would have gotten the ball back with a chance to tie or take the lead.
As it happened, St. Bonaventure fell short on its final possession, with Da'Quan Cook missing two mid-range jumpers as Florida State escaped, 66-63.
Here's the video (courtesy of UGA basketball player Connor Nolte) of White's uncalled violation. Seems pretty clear-cut.
