Murray State's Prohm signs extension to remain with Racers

By Jeff Goodman | College Basketball Insider

Murray State coach Steve Prohm isn't going to Mississippi State.

Prohm, who led the Racers to a 31-2 mark and to the third round of the NCAA tournament, agreed to a one-year extension that goes through 2016.

"I love it here," Prohm told CBSSports.com. "They gave me a great opportunity."

Prohm spoke to Mississippi State and was a candidate to replace Rick Stansbury.

His base salary increases to $270,000 and the total package increases to $300,000 annually.
