Kyle Kuric proves he learned nothing in college, proposes at graduation

By Matt Norlander | College Basketball Writer
My headline is merely teasing the newly engaged Lousiville Cardinal (welcome to the club, dude). Senior Kyle Kuric fell to a knee over the weekend, as he dropped the question on his unsuspecting girlfriend in the middle of her walk across the dais at her graduation ceremony on Saturday.

The video is below, and you can see the nerves in Kuric take shape as he timidly asks his companion to hold it just for one second while he says something to the audience. Here's a portion of the transcription:

"Sorry to interrupt, but me and her have been dating for about two and a half years. ... I definitely want to be with her for the rest of my life. I love her very much."

Then down goes the knee, out comes the rock and the crowd hoots and approves of the newly engaged couple.

He sat in the crowd at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry graduation waiting for one special name to be called, his girlfriend Taraneh Momeni.

Kyle went on stage to take a picture, at least that was his excuse.

"I knew once he got up there, something was about to happen," said Taraneh Momeni.

That's when Kyle Kuric grabbed the microphone and proposed to his longtime girlfriend on stage.

"I was just sitting their anxious, getting all nervous. I started shaking and I finally got up there to do it and worked out well,” said Kuric.
